SURROUNDSOUND
Whether you are in your own custom designed theater or family room, most customers expect to hear sound coming from every direction. The technology that once characterized only movie theaters is now fairly standard in home entertainment centers. The term “surround sound” technically refers to specific multi-channel systems. Its design has several formats, with the most familiar being 5.1 and 7.1. We are referring to the number of front, center, rear and center-rear speakers, and subwoofers a system supports

HDTV
High Definition Televisions are by far the most common type of digital television. It can display standard TV signals, progressive-scan DVD and HDTV signals. Signals are sent in a 16:9 aspect ratio which means there is 16 units of width for every unit of height. This resembles the natural human field of vision. It is also sent with either 720 or 1080 lines of resolution dramatically increasing the detail of every picture.

PLASMA/LCD/DLP
Incorporate your flat screen TV into a surround sound system for your family room or bonus room. Most flat screen monitors utilize plasma, LCD or DLP technologies. What do those terms really mean? Is LCD better than Plasma or DLP’s?
